FAMILY FUN NIGHT!!

Please mark your calendars for Family Fun Night.  We will be gathering in our cafeteria to enjoy the movie WALL-E on Friday, February 5 from 7:00 - 9:00 pm.  PTO will be providing free movie theater popcorn and water, and will also have a bake sale if you would like to purchase an extra treat!

WALL-E is about a curious and lovable robot whose job is to clean up a waste covered and abandoned future Earth. He discovers a new purpose in life when he meets a newer robot named EVE.  What he learns changes the destiny of his kind as well as all of humanity.  An entertaining movie with a great message for us all!

reminder: yearbook order deadline

Reminder: The yearbook order deadline is approaching. Relive all your school memories from this school year. Submit your orders by January 29. You can turn in the paper form to your teacher or pay online at https://ybpay.lifetouch.com. The Yearbook ID Code for Blue Ash Elementary is 1835016. The cost is $20 for the yearbook plus $2 for the optional current events insert.

In the event of an early dismissal

Our children's safety and security is always a top priority for us at Blue Ash Elementary.  With the potential for severe weather or other situation that could cause the district to call for an early release prior to the end of the school day, it is vital that we are able to communicate quickly with you to ensure that your child knows his or her plan for getting home safely.

In the event that we would need to release students early, the district will utilize all communication resources to inform you of this decision. This will include email and phone communication.  In addition, your child's classroom teacher will quickly reach out to you via email or phone to ensure that your child knows the plan for how he/she is to be transported to home or daycare.  We ask that you reply as quickly as possible so we can adequately prepare for your child’s safe dismissal.  If we have not heard back from parents by dismissal time, we will assume the child is to go home via their regular route.

As a reminder, it is always valuable to have alternate in-district emergency contact information on file with the school office.  It is also important to have conversation with your child regarding what he/she should do if your child should arrive home to a locked house (Which neighbor should he/she go to?  What phone number should they call to reach a parent?, etc.).  

Thanks for your attention to these proactive measures to keep all of our children at Blue Ash Elementary safe.

school for scholars

We are very excited for our after school Schools For Scholars to begin! Our first Monday/Tuesday sessions begin January 25th and 26th and run through March 7 and 8.  Classes begin immediately after school and end at 4:50.  If you have signed your child up for these sessions, please add these dates and times to your calendar.  Thank you to our PTO for this fun and engaging program!
